Ringo Starr, nos entrega un nuevo álbum, el número 18 en su carrera, que lleva por título Postcards from Paradise. La fecha de este lanzamiento está previsto para el 31 de marzo, a un poco más de dos semanas antes de que el ex The Beatles ingrese al Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Este nuevo trabajo incluirá 11 temas originales.

Island in the Sun, incluido en esta entrega es el primer tema que compuso junto con su banda All-Starr Band formada por Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Warren Ham y Gregg Bissonette. Además Starr confirma colaboraciones: “Si estoy grabando y un amigo pasa por mi ciudad, va a formar parte del álbum”. Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart, Richard Marx, Peter Frampton o Glen Ballard, son algunos de los nombres que acompañarán a Ringo en Postcards from paradise.
