Carol y “Puente de espías” (Bridge of Spies) son los filmes que optan a más premios BAFTA, 9 en total, seguidas de “El Renacido” (The Revenant), del mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu, que opta a 8, anunció la academia británica.
A estas le siguen “Mad Max: Furia en el camino”, con 7 candidaturas, y “Brooklyn” y “The Martian”, con 6, anunció en Londres la BAFTA (British Academy Film and Television Arts).
“Star Wars: el despertar de la fuerza”, que va camino de convertirse en la película más taquillera de la historia, optará a cuatro premios. La gala de entrega de los BAFTA se celebrará el 14 de febrero en la Royal Opera House de Londres, dos semanas antes de los premios Oscar.
En el capítulo de actores, el británico Eddie Redmayne, Oscar y BAFTA por su interpretación del astrofísico Stephen Hawking en 2015, vuelve a optar al galardón británico por su actuación como transexual en “La chica danesa”.
