Con 13 nominaciones, Birdman lidera la lista de candidatos a la vigésima edición de los Critics’ Choice Awards de la Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA). The Grand Budapest Hotel, con 11 nominaciones, y Boyhood, con 8, también generaron bastante expectativa cuando fueron anunciados los candidatos este lunes por la mañana.

Birdman aseguró su nominación como , siendo acompañada por sus actores Michael Keaton, quien compite como y mejor actor en una comedia, Edward Norton, , y Emma Stone, . En grupo también compiten como mejor conjunto de actores.

Del mismo modo, Alejandro González Iñárritu fue nominado a por Birdman, cinta que también compite como mejor director, mejor guión original, mejor fotografía, mejor dirección artística, mejor montaje, mejor comedia y mejor score.

Además de Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel y Boyhood, otras películas que obtuvieron importantes nominaciones fueron Gone Girl, The Imitation Game, Nightcrawler, Selma, The Theory of Everything, Unbroken y Whiplash.
