Considerado como la meca del cine independiente, el Festival de Cine Sundance inició su trigésima edición el pasado 16 de enero.

La película “Whiplash” del joven realizador estadounidense Damien Chazelle, logró ganar a mejor largometraje, llevándose el Gran Premio del Jurado y el Premio del público.

“To Kill a Man”, drama coproducido por Chile y Francia, del chileno Alejandro Fernández Almendras, se hizo acreedor al Gran Premio del Jurado en la categoría de la Competencia World Cinema Dramatic.

En documentales resaltaron “Rich Hill” de Andrew Droz Palermo y Tracy Droz Tragos, para el jurado; y “Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory” de Michael Rossato-Bennett.
